The delivery took place in the refugee camps of Azraq and Za’atari and was led by various representatives from the LALIGA Foundation, the Jordanian Embassy, and the President of the Tximist Foundation, Aintzane Encinas.

The donated materials, including sports uniforms and football boots, were contributed by players from the first team of Real Sociedad and the Real Sociedad Foundation.

The refugee women who received the materials expressed their gratitude for the initiative. “Your presence as role models and this material are very inspiring for us.”

About the Azraq and Za’atari Refugee Camps:

The Azraq and Za’atari refugee camps are located in Jordan and host more than 150,000 people, mostly Syrians. Refugee women and girls in these camps face various challenges, including a lack of educational and job opportunities, gender-based violence, and discrimination.

Sport is an essential tool to help refugee women overcome these challenges. Football provides them with opportunities to develop their skills, improve their physical and mental health, and build positive relationships.
