The Role Model

Tximist, a beacon of inspiration. The foundation takes its name from Juan Carlos Samaniego, known as ‘Tximist,’ the fitness coach of Real Sociedad who was always dedicated to athletes. Tximist represented passion, effort, sacrifice, and energy, and his example and values continue to inspire many people

A Sports and Friendship Community

Over 12,000 football players have taken center stage in the international Tximist Cup tournament, and more than 20,000 individuals have participated in our events and training sessions promoting empowerment and leadership in sports by providing support and resources for women and girls worldwide.

Foundation Projects

Tximist Cup

An International Women’s Football Tournament that, since 2016, has seen the participation of more than 12,000 players from over 20 different countries. Participating clubs are invited based on their efforts in promoting women’s sports.

Tximist Academy

We are dedicated to promoting and increasing the visibility of role models through various media, such as videos, documentaries, magazines, books, newsletters, websites, and other similar channels. These materials are intended to disseminate not only the activities of our Foundation but also the subjects that are part of our mission, highlighting and promoting inspiring models and role models in the areas of our work.

We advocate for broad and diverse collaboration with associations and entities that share similar goals, whether social, cultural, sports-related, artistic, or charitable. Our efforts include the donation of solidarity materials, especially sports-related, to associations, foundations, and clubs in developing countries with specific needs, thus fostering tangible support to communities in need.

Tximist Foundation - Awards

ODS Award

The Tximist Foundation has been awarded in the second edition of the ODS Awards, organized by BBK and Cadena SER Euskadi. These awards seek to give visibility and recognize the work of individuals, companies and organizations that contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This recognition honors our commitment and continuous work. The president of our foundation, Aintzane Encinas, had the honor of collecting this prestigious award on behalf of the Tximist Foundation, which was presented by Rafael Orbegozo, Iberdrola’s presidential advisor.

Euskadi 2030 Agenda Award

Tximist Foundation has been recognized with the Konpromisoa level in the first edition of the Euskadi 2030 Agenda Awards, an award that acknowledges the commitment of organizations from different sectors to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The award ceremony took place at Lehendakaritza (Vitoria-Gasteiz) and was presided over by Imanol Pradales Basque Government President.

This award, promoted by the Directorate of Social Innovation and the 2030 Agenda of the General Secretariat for Communication and Social Innovation of the Basque Government, aims to promote and raise awareness of the importance of integrating the SDGs into organizational management as a key element of sustainable competitiveness.
