Aintzane Encinas, the president of the TXIMIST FOUNDATION, had the honor of participating in the launch of the newly created 'Gipuzkoa Women's Football Network,' marking a crucial step towards the visibility and female presence in leadership and decision-making roles in the football industry.
In Gipuzkoa, where 20% of football players are women, ranking close to countries with a strong football tradition in Europe, this initiative was presented on December 4 at the Reale Arena Auditorium. The project, launched by the Guipuzcoan Football Federation with the support of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, aims to establish a network that promotes the presence of women in leadership roles, whether as executives, coaches, or players, recognizing and valuing their role in different aspects of sports.
At the event, President Manu Díaz welcomed and thanked everyone for their participation in the project. Vice President Oneida Zubia shared data on women’s football in Gipuzkoa, highlighting current role models. After the presentations, the attendees took a group photo on the Reale Arena pitch.
Finally, Teresa Busto, former president of Airbus and founder of the consulting firm Entalenta, captivated everyone present with her experience as a leader. Her journey becomes a source of inspiration for women aspiring to leadership, leaving a significant mark and paving the way in the professional field. A call to continue growing and supporting each other on this path of leadership and empowerment.
