The Spanish Footballers Association joins the Tximist Cup with a team in the Legends category of the tournament to be held in Hondarribia on 22 June, marking a historic milestone for AFE. This debut will allow the best players who have played in Spanish football, now retired, to return to compete and enjoy the sport they have lived so passionately for so many years.

AFE’s team of legends will be made up of players with a remarkable track record, winners of league and cup titles, who have left their mark on the history of women’s football. The association’s squad will face legends from Real Sociedad and Athletic Club de Bilbao in an incomparable setting, the Tximist Cup, a tournament that has been characterised for promoting the recognition, visibility and empowerment of women of all ages in sport.
The Tximist Cup has been the setting for historic matches such as Real Sociedad-Athletic, the match between Barça and Real Sociedad pioneers and Eibar or the Añorga-Oiartzun derby. AFE’s participation in this edition consolidates the tournament’s commitment to the promotion of women’s football and to the legacy of women who have paved the way for new generations.
