Tximist Foundation Recognized by Football for the Goals

Tximist Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by former Real Sociedad player Aintzane Encinas, has been recognized by Football for the Goals, a United Nations initiative to promote the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through football.

Tximist Foundation works to promote women’s football and gender equality through various programs and projects. Among them, the Tximist Cup, an international women’s football tournament held in Gipuzkoa, and the ‘She Leads’ program, which provides training and counseling nationally and internationally to promote equality in football.

“We are very proud to be recognized by Football for the Goals,” said Aintzane Encinas, CEO of Tximist Foundation. “This recognition reflects the work we are doing to promote football, education, and gender equality.”

Football for the Goals is a United Nations initiative launched in 2019. Its goal is to use football to promote sustainable development and human rights. The initiative is supported by FIFA, UEFA, and other international organizations.

The recognition for Tximist Foundation is a significant step for the organization, which works to make football a more equitable and accessible sport for all women and a tool for social transformation.
