Tximist Foundation President, Key Speaker at the 4th National Women and Sport Congress in Donostia

The President of Tximist Foundation took part as a speaker at the 4th National Women and Sport Congress (CEMYD). The event took place on 28–29 November at the San Sebastián Aquarium. It also brought together more than 30 national and international experts in sport. The theme of this edition was “Changing the Rules of the Game.”

A roundtable with top female athletes

During her session, the President spoke alongside Nerea Pena and Tania Lamarca. The discussion focused on equality, inclusion and visibility in sport. As a result, the roundtable offered ideas and experiences to support a more fair and inclusive model.

#SkipTheBarriers: visible throughout the Congress

The Foundation’s campaign, #SkipTheBarriers, was present in every main area of the event. Its symbolic barriers welcomed participants and reminded them that many visible and invisible obstacles still exist. This message helped reinforce a key idea: equality must be built through action.

A Congress that promotes equality and honours the pioneers

The CEMYD was organised by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and the Women and Sport Congress Association. The programme addressed important topics such as school sport, safe spaces, para-sport, mental health and female professionalisation. Structural change was also part of the debate.

Tximist Foundation honoured the Eibar pioneers, who played the first women’s football match in the Basque Country. Their recognition highlighted the value of memory and female role models.
