The Equality Ball® – A Symbol for Equal Opportunities

Since its launch, The Equality Ball® has become much more than just a football.
It is a powerful symbol with a clear purpose: to promote equal opportunities for girls and boys through football.

At the Tximist Foundation, we proudly celebrate the journey this project has taken in a short time—and the many leaders in sport and culture who have already joined the movement.

Measurable Impact

The Equality Ball® in Numbers:

  • Over 30,000 people reached through live events and online activities

  • Featured in 10+ awareness videos with nearly 100,000 views on social media

  • Used in girls-only and mixed-gender camps and tournaments like Irene Paredes Campus, Sanse Camp, and the Tximist Cup, where more than 2,500 girls have played with it

  • Present at global events such as the World Football Summit (Bilbao and Rabat) and She Leads Football Congress at Reale Arena Stadium in Donostia

  • For every ball purchased, another is donated to a social or educational project

Who Has Received The Equality Ball®?

The Equality Ball® has been awarded to inspiring individuals who reflect the values of this movement.
They now serve as ambassadors for equality and inclusion:

  • Irene Paredes – International footballer, National Team captain, and icon of women’s sport

  • Khalida Popal – Human rights activist and former Afghan footballer

  • Yoshito Okubo – Former Japanese footballer and advocate for social impact

  • Irene Gonçalves – Pioneer of women’s football in Africa

  • Gabi Masfurroll – Entrepreneur and promoter of female leadership

  • Mónica Utrera – Educator and grassroots equality advocate

  • Manuela Vanegas – Colombia National Team captain, working with vulnerable communities

  • Aintzane Encinas – Former player, educator, and founder of the project, representing the Tximist Foundation’s long-term commitment to equity in sports

One Ball, Many Journeys

The Equality Ball® has already rolled through schools, communities, stadiums, and events.
Its message is simple and universal: “Same Game, Same Rules.”

Each handover, each workshop, and every match played with this ball is one more step toward a more inclusive game—and a more equal world.
