The Equality Stadium continues to grow. What began in December 2024 as an ambitious vision to transform a community through sport, equality, and inclusion has now become a tangible reality moving forward at a very strong pace.
After several months of planning and collaboration with local stakeholders, construction officially began in April 2025. Just two months later, the progress achieved reflects the commitment, excitement, and collective effort behind this unique project.
During this initial phase, the foundations of all planned facilities within The Equality Stadium have already been completed, marking a major milestone in the project’s development.
However, at Tximist Foundation, we have always believed this is much more than a stadium. Our goal is to create a space that generates opportunities, drives equality, and strengthens the social development of the entire community.
Every step forward is also a step in building a legacy that will last for generations.
One of the most powerful aspects of these early months has been the active participation of women from the community.
For the first time, dedicated training sessions have been delivered to all women, allowing them to fully understand the vision and impact that The Equality Stadium will have on their future.
These sessions have helped share the project’s objectives, encourage community involvement, and create a strong sense of ownership that is already transforming local perspectives.
Women are not only being informed but are actively participating in the development and construction process, becoming part of a project that symbolizes equality, inclusion, and opportunity.
Community participation has also included information sessions with elders and traditional leaders, who have been informed about the progress and long-term benefits of the project.
This inclusive approach ensures that The Equality Stadium is being built from within, with the support of those who will be the true protagonists of its story.
In 2025, marking the 10th anniversary of our tournament, Tximist Foundation is experiencing one of the most exciting moments in its history.
The Equality Stadium was born from a pioneering vision: to create a space where sport, equality, inclusion, and opportunity come together to transform lives and empower entire communities.
Each stage of this journey represents the collective effort of people and institutions who believe that sport can change realities, open doors, and unite generations.
As we approach Phase 2 of construction, we continue moving closer to a dream that is becoming reality.

Tximist Foundation and the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) are launching a new online course on leadership and transformation in sports, in conjunction with the UIK Summer Courses. The course offers university credits.
The TXIMIST CUP and Tximist Foundation obtain official recognition in Gipuzkoa as a priority sponsorship activity for 2026-2029.
