The Tximist Foundation is proud to announce that Sporting Lisbon will participate for the first time in the Tximist Cup. The tournament will take place from June 12 to 21 in Hondarribia and Zubieta.
The historic Portuguese club will compete in the U17 category, becoming the first Portuguese team to join the prestigious tournament. Sporting Lisbon is one of Portugal’s top clubs, and its women’s team competes in the Campeonato Nacional Feminino, the highest level of women’s football in the country.
The Sporting CP Feminino squad has grown significantly since its reactivation in 2016 and has competed in top-level competitions, including the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Sporting Lisbon’s participation strengthens the international and competitive nature of the Tximist Cup. The tournament continues to promote equality, female leadership, and provides role models for new generations of players.
With Sporting Lisbon confirmed in U17, one more international team is added to the list of top confirmations for this 10th anniversary edition. The tournament, recognized as one of the most prestigious events of the year, promises high-level football and great opportunities for young female players.
