Tximist Foundation has announced that the first SHE LEADS programme of the new cycle will take place in Kelle, Senegal, following the collaboration agreement signed with Booloo Senegal. This project strengthens the Foundation’s commitment to women’s leadership and equality through sport.
In addition, SHE LEADS arrives in Senegal at a key moment for the growth of women’s football in West Africa. More girls and women are taking part in sport. However, there is still a lack of resources, training and role models.
A partnership to boost women’s football from the community
On the one hand, Booloo Senegal will lead the local coordination of the project in Kelle and work directly with the community.
On the other hand, Tximist Foundation will contribute its experience in women’s sport, training and leadership, with a strong focus on social impact.
In this way, both organisations join forces to build a sustainable project with local roots.
What SHE LEADS Senegal will include
The programme will focus on several key actions:
Training for women coaches, with sports methods and leadership tools.
Training sessions for girls, aimed at creating the foundations of the first women’s team in the area.
Social impact actions, using sport as a tool for empowerment and equality.
Visibility and communication, to give greater exposure to women’s football in Senegal.
As a result, SHE LEADS aims to create real change, both on and off the pitch.
A new milestone for SHE LEADS
With this project in Kelle, Tximist Foundation takes another step in its international growth. Moreover, it strengthens SHE LEADS as a programme that connects sport, women’s leadership and social transformation.
In short, the initiative opens new opportunities for girls and women. It also shows that sport can be a powerful driver of change, even in international contexts.
