The TXIMIST CUP is pleased to announce the participation of two youth teams from FC Barcelona, one of the best women's clubs in the world, in the tournament.
All teams participating in the TXIMIST CUP 2024 have been invited for their outstanding work for women’s football, recognising their commitment to the development and promotion of the sport. FC Barcelona has demonstrated its commitment to the development, professionalisation and growth of the sport. And the values and the visibility and leadership of its leaders deserve special mention and a place in our tournament.
The Catalan club has been one of the pioneers in the professionalisation of women’s football at national and international level, with an enviable track record. As well as being champions of La Liga eight times and the Copa de la Reina nine times, they have won the Spanish Super Cup on four occasions and the UEFA Champions League twice.
FC Barcelona’s youth academy is one of the most prolific in the world, and has produced some of the best players on the planet, such as Alexia Putellas, Aitana Bonmatí and Claudia Pina.
The TXIMIST CUP 2024 will be held from 14 to 22 June 2024. The tournament, in this 8th edition, will be divided into three categories: U14, U17 and Legends.
FC Barcelona’s participation in the TXIMIST CUP 2024 in U14 and U17 categories will be a unique opportunity for us to enjoy the future stars of women’s football in action.
