Bermúdez, born in Madrid in 1986, is one of the most outstanding players in the history of Spanish women’s football. With the national team, she played 63 matches and scored 34 goals, participating in major tournaments such as the 2015 World Cup, the 2017 Euro, and the 2016 Olympic Games.
After retiring, Bermúdez began her coaching career with Real Madrid U-16 in 2021, leading the team to the quarterfinals of the national tournament.
Now, she takes on a new challenge as Spain’s U-19 national team coach. In a statement to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), she said:
“It’s an honor to coach the Spanish U-19 team. It’s a key category for player development, and I’m excited to start working.”
Her appointment marks a boost for Spanish women’s football, bringing experience and passion to the next generation.
