Athletic Club has confirmed its participation in the Tximist Cup in the LEGENDS category, which will be held from 22 June 2024 in Hondarribia, Basque Country. This edition of the tournament will be special, as it commemorates the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Real Sociedad women's team, which will lead to a historic Basque derby between the two teams.
Athletic Club of Legends, made up of former Athletic Club players, already participated in the Tximist Cup in 2023, leaving a pleasant impression with their quality of play and sportsmanship. Their return to the tournament is great news for the organisation and for all those who know the history of the club and its LEGENDS.
The best player of the last edition was the historic Itziar Gurrutxaga, who won THE BEST award, demonstrating that she maintains her competitive level and talent intact.
In addition to the award-winning Itziar Gurrutxaga, historical players such as Nerea Onaindia, Eli Ibarra, Irune Murua, Tzibi Juaristi, Arrate Orueta, Garazi Unibaso, Lorena Sánchez, Irantzu Castrillo, Julene Guarrotxena… champions of several league titles, also took part.
