The president of the Tximist Foundation, Aintzane Encinas, participated this Monday, December 2, in the event organized by the European Parliament at the High Performance Center of the High Sports Council in Madrid. The meeting, held on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, brought together leading figures in European sport and politics under the slogan “United for Disability”. As well as committed institutions such as the LALIGA Foundation and ONCE.
During the day, the president of the Tximist Foundation led one of the teams in the inclusive soccer match, an activity that promoted coexistence and the spirit of self-improvement between people with and without disabilities. Aintzane Encinas highlighted the importance of these types of events as key tools to promote inclusion and underlined the Tximist Foundation‘s commitment to promoting equal opportunities in sport.
“These types of initiatives not only celebrate diversity, but also inspire us to work harder to remove barriers and ensure that all people can reach their full potential,” noted Encinas.
The event was also attended by Euro Parlamentarians, Paralympic athletes, journalists and former professional footballers, who collaborated in various inclusive activities, such as blind relays and an exciting 8-a-side soccer match. The day concluded with the presentation of medals and an emotional recognition to all participants.
