Tximist Foundation promotes ‘She Leads’ in Kenya

The Tximist Foundation, committed to women’s equality and leadership through sport, announces a new international project in Kenya in partnership with the IBL Foundation and Football Without Borders Kenya. This agreement seeks to promote the empowerment of women and girls through soccer and strengthen educational and sports programs in the country by expanding our International She Leads program.

Between December 26 and 30, the president of the Tximist Foundation, a former professional footballer and recognized leader in sports management, will visit different locations in Kenya, strengthening ties with local foundations and members of the Kenya Football Federation.

Scheduled activities

  1. In Nairobi:

–  Visit to the IBL Foundation to learn about its local impact.

 – Training session with the players and training for their coaches, sharing football techniques and values.

   Delivery of sports equipment to promote the development of women’s football.

  1. In Nyanza:

 – Visits to Matieko Primary School, Secondary School, and Ong’icha Secondary School to learn about their facilities and educational projects.

 – Joint training sessions with local players and training of coaches.

 – Donation of balls and sports equipment for girls and boys, promoting access to sports.

The “IBL” project has a league for more than 450 girls from the Slum of Kibera, one of the largest slums in Africa.

The “Football Without Borders Kenya” project covers 25 schools in Nyanza, impacting around 250 pupils per school. The Tximist Foundation is proud to support these initiatives that, through soccer, generate referents and dreams of the future for girls. In these joint events, we will impact more than 1,000 girls and women in the country.

“Football is much more than a sport; it is a tool to transform lives, empower women and girls, and build more equal communities. We are excited to collaborate with these projects in Kenya and help girls have access to resources, training and role models that inspire them to dream big.”

From December 26-30, Tximist Foundation President Aintzane Encinas will visit Kenya as part of the international SHE LEADS project. This initiative seeks to empower women and girls through soccer and strengthen educational and sporting development at local, national and international levels.

On this occasion, in Nairobi, she will work with the players and coaches of the IBL Foundation, while in Nyanza she will visit local schools, where she will deliver sports equipment and share training and education. With this project, the Tximist Foundation reinforces its commitment to equality and women’s leadership in sport.
