The Tximist Foundation has been awarded the FAKA ENERGIA Prize in the first edition of these awards, held in the emblematic event hall of the church of Our Lady of Lourdes in Urretxu (Gipuzkoa). This event, organized by the young entrepreneur from Gipuzkoa Joseba Etxeberria and presented by Egoitz Txurruka 'Txurru' highlighted organizations and companies committed to equality, sustainability and social responsibility.
The award, granted in the category of “Commitment to Equality”, recognizes the ongoing work of the Tximist Foundation in promoting gender equality through sport, especially with the international women’s football tournament, Tximist Cup. This event has made women in soccer more visible and has created a platform for the construction of female referents in sports, establishing itself as an international reference model in leadership and equality.
During the gala, Manuela Gómez, general secretary of the Tximist Foundation, expressed her gratitude towards the organizer, Joseba Etxeberria, and the company FAKA ENERGIA, underlining the value of this recognition:
“This award is an honor and a recognition of the effort we have made at the Tximist Foundation to promote equality in sport. We are deeply grateful to FAKA ENERGIA and Joseba Etxeberria for their support and for this opportunity to give visibility to our commitment. Manuela Gómez also highlighted the importance of this collaboration for the future of the Foundation:

At the event, other outstanding initiatives were also awarded for their positive impact on society:
- Ama Tolosa: Awarded for its “Commitment to local produce”, underlining the importance of consuming products of proximity.
- Muxika Town Council: Recognized as the “First town council to commit to green energy”, an example of sustainability.
- Alberto Blázquez: Awarded for his trajectory of “Loyalty and growth”, a model of dedication and development.
Joseba Etxeberria, founder of FAKA ENERGIA, highlighted in his speech the mission of the FAKA ENERGIA Awards: “These awards are a reflection of the values we want to promote as a society: equality, sustainability and commitment to the environment”.
