Tximist Foundation Kenya

She Leads project concludes in Kenya

The Tximist Foundation has successfully completed its international project in Kenya, where, in collaboration with local foundations Inter Base League (IBL) and Football Without Borders, it has transformed lives through football and education. During the visit, which took place from December 26 to 30, the foundation team worked directly with nearly 1,000 girls, learning about their needs and promoting values of equality and female leadership.

Key Activities

The trip included activities in Nairobi and Nyanza:

  • Training and workshops: The girls participated in football training sessions, while local coaches received technical and values-based training.
  • Educational and family visits: Schools such as Matieko Primary School and Ong’icha Secondary School were visited, alongside the homes of the girls, strengthening the connection between sport, education, and community.
  • Resource donations: Footballs, sports equipment, and educational tools were donated to enhance access to sports and learning opportunities.

Transformative Approach

Tximist Foundation President Aintzane Encinas led the activities alongside the local team. During the visits, she engaged with families and teachers to better understand their realities and enhance existing programs.

“Football allowed us to connect with these girls beyond the sport, understand their dreams and challenges, and work together to create opportunities. This project reaffirms that football is a powerful vehicle for building equality and hope,” said Encinas.

Impact and Commitment

With this initiative, the Tximist Foundation expands its international She Leads program, using sports as a tool for empowerment. The girls impacted in Nairobi and Nyanza now have female role models and greater access to resources for their personal and athletic development.

About the Tximist Foundation
